Job description Reservoir Engineer
- Provides reservoir evaluation in context of screening and due diligence of New Venture projects; takes lead on in-house reservoir assessments of smaller projects; work includes well test interpretation, well performance evaluation, generation of corresponding production profiles and estimation of expected recovery factors
- Review 3rd party or asset seller’s dynamic models, most likely in Eclipse and Petrel reservoir engineering; build models as needed
- Work with, challenge, or supervise as appropriate, work by third party technical advisors in reservoir due dillgence area; provides expert guidance/QC
- Make recommendations regarding technical merits and risks of individual opportunities and present evaluation results internally and to partners as appropriate
- Participate in or lead as appropriate data room visits and interaction with seller technical teams
- Able to assist, or drive as appropriate, the general pursuit, evaluation and execution of NV projects
Requirements Reservoir Engineer
- Master Degree or higher in petroleum Engineering, or equivalent degree. MBA a plus
- At least 12 years experience in a multidisciplinary E&P environment with major or independent operators in international production.
- Strong experience in New ventures exploration and production.
- Must have experience in Eclipse, Petrel Reservoir Engineering, OFM and Saphire.
- Must have experience with classical reservoir engineering and experience working in clastics and carbonate environment.
