Job Title: Technical Assistant – QHSE

Job Details:
- Establish and maintain a manual / computerized filing and documentation management and retention system for the HSE Division to ensure that all technical documentation and records are maintained in an orderly manner to facilitate retrieval.
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date database on Power2, Near Misses, HSE alerts, accidents, contractors, emergency information, laws and regulations, changes, procedures and policies and all QHSE issues to support and complement HSE Division activities.
- Generate statistical information, including tracking and trending from recorded QHSE data to assist management in assessing progress and performance, identifying loopholes and areas of concern to facilitate decision-making.
- Take down minutes of technical QHSE meetings and circulates among meeting attendees and other designated individuals. Keeps track of QHSE issues relating to projects undertaken by the Company to participate in the preparation of up-to-date reports.
- Follow up with relevant divisions, contractors and consultants on various corrective actions, measures and changes in QHSE plans, policies and procedures, as directed to ensure implementation and to facilitate the division’s workflow.
- Provide administrative support to the HSE division’s budgeting process. Maintain a track of division expenditures and notify Vice President on deviations from set budget lines. Maintain a record of justifications for deviation for future retrieval for reporting purposes.
- Maintain confidentiality of assigned work, ensure that confidential information is not revealed other than to those specified, to safeguard the Company’s interests.
- Perform other similar or related duties as and when assigned by direct supervisor.
- Document control duties for QHSEMS, QHSE audit and incident files.
- Focal point for data entry related to Hazop, MOC, incidents, audits.
- Coordinate HSE input to the Company.
Qualification
- Degree in Egnineering or equivalent Technical Discipline.
- At least 3 years experience in providing technical support to engineering projects, preferably within an HSE Division / Department – Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry will be an added advantage.
- Experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software – Courses in Health, Safety and Environment will be an added advantage.
