Our client, a leading financial services provider firm, currently has an exciting position for a dynamic and proactive Portfolio Manager; who
will lead the team in planning and executing new business development strategy, and effectively manage existing accounts. This position is based in Accra, Ghana

Job Duties
- Provide integrated view of portfolio, including financial results, strategic alignment, business performance and risk profile, and facilitates change management activities to ensure that portfolio entities meet corporate expectations.
- Analyze financial statements, develop models, make financial projections, and express opinions on prospects for companies, industry and other financial instruments.
- Provide investment advice to Asset Management clients and prospects.
- Provide pro-active communication to company’s clients.
- Handle analysis, research and asset management for all investment products.
- Perform risk-based financial and operational performance analysis to include detailed review of people, process and technology components of the portfolio entity.
- Acquire in-depth understanding of all firm strategies and should be fully able to communicate and explain them as such.
- Use internal and external resources to provide consultative and subject matter expertise and project management for investments, including integration and/or implementation of business ventures, and investment oversight.
- Improve upon knowledge of new investment trends.
- Detect systemic risks, facilitates development of mitigation plans, and assesses those for impact.
- Expand existing markets and help entry into new market segments.
- Assess financial and operating statements and lead in the overall evaluation and analysis of portfolio entities.
- Lead client service team; coach and develop team members.
- Manage a team of researchers and analysts
- Budget and business plan preparation for the Asset Management business
- Fund administration
- Budget and business plan preparation for the Asset Management business
- Preparation of monthly reports to various stakeholders
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance with 6 plus years’ relevant experience in Portfolio Management or investment is required.
- An MBA (Finance option) or CFA a plus.
- Must have a strong financial background with ability to understand and communicate financial models.
- Should have a strong business acumen and possess great financial and analytical aptitude.
- Superior interpersonal skills.
- Excellent detail oriented skills and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Excellent negotiation and client management skills
- Great entrepreneurial skills
