Based in Abu Dhabi the Project Manager reports to the Senior Project Management Cluster Leader and has prime responsibility for the successful completion of assigned few Large Automation Service Projects (typically >$1-6M) or multiple smaller projects in accordance with company procedures and supporting the overall objectives of the Life Cycle Services (LSS) business of Honeywell Process Solutions (LSS)
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall delivery, progress and control of the respective contract and also for the technical coordination of project team leads to ensure that all technical project requirements are met, standards are maintained and consistent.
Job Responsibility
- Must manage contract requirements, and assist the sales team in the preparation of job estimates, proposals and presentations.
- Lead the LSS effort in Pre-sales, Proposals, Execution and delivery.
- External Client Management while maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Ensures system installations meets all requirements provided by the customer and implements innovative methods to solve difficult technical problems.
- Stays abreast of customer needs, requirements, systems status, and actual or potential customer problems.
- Technical Team Guidance
- Work to ensure all financial data is accurate and on time, including cost forecasting, billings, receivables, collections and overall process compliance.
- Task and Resource Planning/Scheduling/Forecasting.
- Manage the process of scope definition and change control, including estimating and negotiations of contract/scope variations (change orders)
- Identify important potential risks (technical or other) and establish and execute detailed plans to ensure that risks are mitigated and opportunities are realized.
- Apply applicable Honeywell QA and project management procedures/methods. Interact with GES on resource mobilization, deliverables and ensure quality of all the deliverables
- Project Reviews & Communications
- Provide and track completed project documentation.
- Manage complex contractual relationships involving Customer and EPC’s. Proven experience with and understanding of EPC practices and procedures
- Ensure complete project closeout and handover to Service Support team.
- The Project Manager is expected to manage all phases of an automation service project including Pre-Sales Support, Engineering Definition, Detailed Engineering, Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Installation, Site Acceptance Testing, and Site Commissioning Support. As such, travel to customer facilities and work at site locations could be required depending on the specific contractual requirements and current phase of the project

Requirement:
- Engineering Degree (Instrumentation/Electronics/Chemical)
- 15 years + experience gained in automation from Oil & Gas, Refining or Petrochemicals or Power industry
- 5 years Honeywell DCS systems experience
- 3 years + DCS Project delivery experience
- People Management skills and managing remote teams effectively
- Previous exposure to commercial/ financial aspect of Project Management
- Excellent Communication skills in English (written & spoken)
- PMP Qualification is highly desirable
- Previous experience in the Middle East is preferred
