Job Description
* Improving production and quality standards
* Replacing and repairing defective equipment
* Responsible for any break downs
* Checking all tools and running of machines at the start of the shift
* Maintaining availability of glass-making machines
* Doing job changes on equipment
* Maintaining high standard of housekeeping and safety record
* Mentoring of apprentices and learners
Job Requirements
* Have N3 and be a qualified Fitter or Millwright
* Have 3 – 5 years experience working as a fitter in a manufacturing environment
* Forming machine experience will be advantageous
* Be able to work overtime and be available on call-outs
* Ability to work well under pressure & demonstrate a sense of urgency
* Excellent problem solving & trouble shooting skills
* Be willing to work in a hot; noisy & dusty environment
* Have a valid driver’s license
